What Is A Family?

:')

A father came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

Son: "Father, may I ask you a question?"

Father replied: "Yeah sure, what it is?"

Son: "Father, how much do you make an hour?"

Father said angrily: "That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?"

Son: "I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?"

Father: "If you must know, I make $20 an hour."

"Oh," the little boy replied, with his head down. Looking up, he said, "Father, may I please borrow $10?"

The father was furious, "If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I work hard everyday for such childish behavior."

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door. Father sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money? After about an hour or so, the father had calmed down, and started to think: Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $10 and he really didn't ask for money very often.

The father went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

"Are you asleep, son?" Father asked.

"No Father, I am awake," replied the little boy.

"I have been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier," said the father. "It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $10 you asked for."

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. "Oh, thank you Father!" He yelled.

Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The father, seeing that the little boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

"Why do you want more money if you already have some?" the father grumbled.

"Because I didn't have enough, but now I do," the little boy replied.

"Father, I have $20 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you."

Share this story with someone you like... But even better, share $20 worth of time with someone you love. It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life.

We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days.

But the family and friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family. An unwise investment indeed!

So what is the moral of the story?

Don't work too hard...and you know what the full word of FAMILY is?

We must go

From those around I hear a cry.a muffled sob,a hopeless sigh.I hear their footsteps leaving slow and then i know my soul must fly. A chilly wind begins to blow, within my soul from head to toe and then last breath escapes my lips. It's time to leave and I must go. So it is true but it's too late. They said each soul has its given date. When it must leave it's body's core and meet with it's eternal fate. Mark the words that I do say,who knows tomorrow could be your day,at last it comes to heaven or hell. Decide which now do not delay. Come on my brothers lets pray, decide which now do not delay.do not delay! I cannot see,my eyes are blind. Am I still me??or has my soul been led astray??and forced to pay a priceless fee. Alas to dust we all return, some shall rejoice while others burned,if only I knew, I knew that before. The line grew short and came my turn. And now as beneath the sod, they lay me with my record flawed. They cry not knowing I cry worse for they go home I face my God.

Serenity

Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of long and patient effort in self control. Its presence is an indication of ripened experience, and of a more than ordinary knowledge of the laws and operations of thought.

A man becomes calm in the measure that he understands himself as a thought-evolved being. For such knowledge necessitates the understanding of others as the result of thought, and as he develops a right understanding, and sees ever more clearly the internal relations of things by the action of cause and effect, he ceases to fuss, fume, worry, and grieve. He remains poised, steadfast, serene.

The calm man, having learned how to govern himself, knows how to adapt himself to others. And they, in turn reverence his spiritual strength. They feel that they can learn from him and rely upon him. The more tranquil a man becomes, the greater is his success, his influence, his power for good. Even the ordinary trader will find his business prosperity increase as he develops a greater self-control and equanimity, for people will always prefer to deal with a man whose demeanor is equitable.

The strong, calm man is always loved and revered. He is like a shade-giving tree in a thirsty land, or a sheltering rock in a storm.Who does not love a tranquil heart, a sweet-tempered, balanced life? It does not matter whether it rains or shines, or what changes come to those who possess these blessings, for they are always serene and calm. That exquisite poise of character that we call serenity is the last lesson of culture. It is the flowering of life, the fruitage of the soul. It is precious as wisdom--more desirable than fine gold. How insignificant mere money-seeking looks in comparison with a serene life. A life that dwells in the ocean of truth, beneath the waves, beyond the reach of the tempests, in the Eternal Calm!!!

How many people we know who sour their lives, who ruin all that is sweet and beautiful by explosive tempers, who destroy their poise of character and make bad blood! It is a question whether the
great majority of people do not ruin their lives and mar their happiness by lack of self-control. How few people we meet in life who are well balanced, who have that exquisite poise which is characteristic of the finished character!

Yes, humanity surges with uncontrolled passion, is tumultuous with ungoverned grief, is blown about by anxiety and doubt. Only the wise man, only he whose thoughts are controlled and purified, makes the winds and the storms of the soul obey him.Tempest-tossed souls, wherever you may be, under whatever conditions you may live, know this:

In the ocean of life the isles of
blessedness are smiling and the sunny shore of your ideal awaits
your coming. Keep your hands firmly upon the helm of thought. In
the core of your soul reclines the commanding Master; He does but
sleep; wake him. Self-control is strength. Right thought is mastery.
Calmness is power. Say unto your heart, "Peace. Be still!" :)
